It's all about the angle and the dangle.
C-Hub front end is now long gone... thank god!
Ive had to make use of 3mm ball ends for now, but final setup will probably go back to M8 and bigger and more rugged componentry.
because the 1/5 scale wheels are 65mm wide. instead of 52 that would be expected from 1/10 scale
it means that lock will never be as easy to get. unless the scrub radius also increases.
On the front it's fine to do whatever you want, but the rear track is where the offset is set by the standard drive dog bone length.
We shall see how wide I can get.
But now that I'm starting to prototype wheels and tyres as well, it means all that can change.
But for now, this should be enough for some decent drifts.
First cut at te37... i made an error... so ive already modelled a v2.
Should be able to get some smooth concrete action.
Ackerman is surprising for a first mock up.
Almost spot on. that means I measured things right. haha. 1/5 scale also means you are not bound by trying to get knuckles that are so tiny.
I put 9 holes on each knuckle for adjustment.
Rear test with no traction will be interesting. not my desired tyre compound by any means.
But it's all about testing.
